When you do research papers or presentations, it is important to remember to cite the sources that you used.  If you fail to cite your sources or refuse to cite your sources, lack of citations may indicate plagiarism-which is the stealing of another's work and claiming it as your own.

Please be aware that almost everything, including audio clips, images and clipart, must be cited properly.

Your teachers may require you to use MLA citations if you are working in English or languages.  Science and the social sciences, which include sociology and psychology, will use APA citations.

Your teacher will provide guidance on which type citations to use but here are a few helpful sites on the internet that will also help you with doing citations.
